My New Favourites....

Here are my two new favourites of the kids...

Big boy bed!

Well it is official...Ian is sleeping in his own big boy bed and is loving it! He did great with the transition and is sleeping in his bed all night with the occassional mid-night crawl into mommy's bed. Here is some pictures from his first sleep in his bed (we did a trial run at nap time)

A new camera!!

So excited here at the Apthorp house! We got a new camera...an early Christmas present for Chris and I. Our old one was dying, you could hit the button 3 or 4 times before it would take a picture. Not that we can complain, we have had it for 3 years and taken over 10,000 pictures with it.
So yeah back to our new camera...it is a Panasonic DMC-FZ7, it has 12x zoom and we got a bunch of special lenses with it for a really GREAT price!! Now we just need to figure out how to work the darn thing ;)
I apologize for not updating but once we get the hang of things I will post a bunch of new pictures.

Trick or Treating

We took the kids out for Halloween this year. They had a blast and got tons of candy (which mommy and daddy will have to help eat!) Here are some pictures of my little angel and my cute little giraffe.

Monkey Boy...

So my little man likes to climb and when I say climb I mean climb. I can't keep him down. He climbs everything. I have found him on my coffee table, dining room table, all the chairs and I even found him sitting in our dining room window sill. He is also learning "problem" solving and using it to help him climb. We have a little kids table and chair set in the corner of our living room which is beside our entertainment unit. He has figured out that if he puts his bean bag chair on the table and then climbs the table and then the bean bag he can get on top of our entertainment center!
He also has a new place to hang out and hide....the shelf to our easel! I find him there at least twice a day. He is such a busy boy and soooo different from his big sister.

Slacking...

So yeah I will admit that I have been slacking big time. I really hope that I will be able to post more regularly. Things are just so busy here that this is the last thing on my "to do" list but I will try to bump it up.

Well we went apple picking a couple of weeks ago. The kids had a blast and that is all that counts...right ;) Gabriella got to feed a horse an apple which she was all excited about. We also went on a wagon ride which was fun. Ian started to get restless and wanted to run around and then got mad when we wouldn't let him...we can't get that kid to sit still...all he wants to do is go, go, go.

After that we went and had some icecream and then let the kids play in the play area filled with hay. It was a fun filled afternoon and a great family tradition we have now done for the last 3 years. Here are some more pictures we took...

A messy dinner!

So yeah we experienced a very messy dinner the other night! I don't think that I have ever seen my kids so messy before...I was scared that his little scalp would be dyed orange but thankfully it all came out with a good washing. I am starting to rethink letting him feed himself when it comes to food containing tomato sauce ;)
